Safe&Informed Volunteering - SIV
An Erasmus+ cooperation for innovation project initiated by four European partners from Spain, Portugal and Romania aiming at promoting a safe and informed volunteering process. We aim at enabling more youth access to valuable information regarding the places where the volunteering opportunities appear, through the shared opinions of previous volunteers in those places. As a result of the 2-year period, young people, especially the ones with an interest in volunteering will benefit from an innovative APP, designed with information generated by local and/or foreign volunteers on the villages/towns/cities of organizations which host ESC projects.

PROMOTE VOLUNTEERING
ESC accredited organizations and NGOs hosting volunteers join forces ? for a successful collaboration.
With these experiences, our team is ready to develop and provide you an innovative APP carefully designed to facilitate the integration of the volunteers into the local community.
INNOVATIVE APP
The APP will serve as an instrument to improve the participation of all young people in ESC projects in an informed and secure manner and will facilitate pre-preparation for European volunteering.
It will overcome the mismatch between the expectations of the volunteers and the reality of the project’s place.
OUR TEAM
Four organizations from Spain, Portugal and Romania leaded by Asociación Deses-3, Spain, will guide the SIV consortium to define the perfect APP that foster the integration of the volunteers in the project community.

Are you representing an organization, ESC accredited NGOs or planning to get accredited, NGOs active in local/national/european/international volunteering and their representatives, volunteers coordinators, tutors, mentors, leaders, youth workers?
We are kindly asking your contribution and collaboration for creating this APP dedicated to improving of the European Solidarity Corps project experiences. It is highly important for volunteers to know all the features of a community in terms of cost of life, quality of life quality, leisure and free time activities (culture, sports) and some other details such as the probability of people to speak English, the average age of the residents and so on.
