Rise & Shine

Co-Funded by the European Union Vertical Logo

The Rise&Shine project responds to the EU’s new focus on mental health, emphasizing prevention as a key principle. With mental health disorders already affecting a significant portion of the EU population, particularly young people, there’s a pressing need for effective intervention. This project aims to enhance the well-being of both youth workers and young people by developing skills and coping mechanisms among the former, which can then be passed on to the latter. By prioritizing the mental and emotional health of youth workers, we aim to improve their ability to engage with and support young people, ultimately leading to more positive outcomes for both groups.

SUPPORT WELL-BEING…

DIGCIT Manual

Project focuses on strengthening the well-being of youth workers, equipping them with mental health resources and resilience skills to navigate the challenges they face. Collaborating with partners, we aim to integrate these resources into youth work practice and empower youth workers to advocate for supportive policies. Through skill development and coping strategies, our project aims to enhance the well-being of both youth workers and the young people they support.

AND MENTAL HEALTH…

Moodle online training course

Rise&Shine offers youth workers unique learning resources to support their mental health and resilience in their work with marginalized young people, including those affected by conflicts and those struggling after the COVID-19 pandemic. The project recognizes that the well-being of youth workers directly impacts the young people they serve. By equipping youth workers with the tools for promoting positive mental health practices and resilience, Rise&Shine contributes to healthier communities.

OF YOUTH WORKERS

Digital Citizenship training course

Youth workers are vital figures in the lives of young people, providing a safe space for support and guidance. The project prioritizes youth worker well-being and provides them with resilience-building tools and continuous professional development opportunities. Through innovative interventions and advocacy, we empower youth workers to offer quality support while advocating for policies that value youth work. The project develops well-being planner and toolkit to achieve these objectives.

About the project

Well-being | Youth workers | Personal development

Mental health is a global concern for young people and youth educators. Mental ill-health does not discriminate when targeting young people. Young people in all sectors of education can suffer with mental ill-health, as can the educators who support and mentor them. As such, there is significant potential for the project to have an equal impact on educators in the adult education, VET, and school sectors, as well as lecturers and educators engaged in tertiary education.

Rise&Shine addresses the mental health needs of youth workers across various professional and voluntary roles throughout Europe. By focusing on the well-being of youth workers, the project aims to enhance their ability to support young people across different education sectors. This comprehensive approach creates synergies between diverse domains, improving the quality of education and training delivery while addressing the global concern of mental health among both young people and educators.
