PodSquad Youth Cafe, July 2023, Online

On 18 July, the Erasmus+ PodSquad project partners organised an online Youth Cafe session with participants from Cyprus, Romania, Ireland, Spain and Greece. Five youth workers from each partner organisation joined the online event to share their experiences about the benefits and obstacles that have arisen along the way in their work.
At the beginning, SEAL CYPRUS presented the PodSquad project results, the project website, its actions and the steps of the online event. Then, using the Padlet platform, there were several discussion topics. Each of the following themes was discussed with the participants by a facilitator from an organisation in the consortium:

• Supporting young people to manage their well-being and mental health during COVID – INNETICA
• Adapting my youth work practice to remote youth work – Future in Perspective
• Strategies to engage hard-to-reach young people – SEAL CYPRUS
• Creating a supportive learning environment for NEETs – Fifty-Fifty
• Digital youth work – pros and cons – TEAM4Excellence

Each of these discussion themes had a series of questions that youth workers had to answer and complete the Padlet. The youth workers met with the facilitators for 5 minutes on each topic. These meetings resulted in a series of experiences, opinions, best practices, educational tools and tips that we will take into account to implement the next steps of the PodSquad project.
