Online support for youth
European project partners meeting
On the 6 and 7 of September, we had two days full of group activities and discussions for identifying the most appropriate methods to get in touch with young people, to offer support while in crisis and to prevent their exclusion.
Connected by an Erasmus strategic partnership lead by Po Drugie foundation from Poland, youth workers and experts from 5 European organizations meet in Constanta for the first face to face transnational project meeting.
- Fundacja po DRUGIE, Warszawa, Poland
- Social Welfare Center of central Macedonia, Thessaloniki, Greece
- PSD, Rome, Italy
- Asociatia TEAM 4 Excellence, Constanta, Romania
- SOPRO, Barcelos, Portugal
We selected the most relevant organizations in partners countries that can provide professional support for young people.
How young persons are usually permanent users of the Internet, and this method of communication is becoming more and more basic source of contact, participants agreed that using digital resources is required. Social networking sites and an interactive website can function on the basis of establishing contacts with young people and gradual provision of necessary support.
During the next stage of action, partners will meet teenagers in focus groups, gathering opinions and suggest further improvements of our partnerships’ line of work.
As the meeting was hosted in Constanta, a nice city near the seaside with maritime tradition, we visited the navigation simulators from Constanta Maritime University. We feel like being the captain of the ship.
