On the 15th of March 2022, we organized the multiplier event to promote the results of the Erasmus+ project “Find your way out the digital addiction labyrinth”. The main project results developed and presented during the event consist of:

  • Mobile APP- ESCAPE THE TECHBYRINTH, which is available for download from APP store and Google Play
  • Educational KIT – NEW TECH, NEW THREATS, which is developed to support the youth workers in improving the usage of technology in their work. The educational kit is available for download from the project website and the partners’ websites:

The event started with the welcome word addressed by the Dean of Faculty of Navigation, from Constanta Maritime University, which kindly hosted our event.

During the first part of the event, our Project Manager, Assoc Prof Dr Nicoleta Acomi presented the priorities and objectives of the project. She explained the scope of the Erasmus project event and the way in which the two digital products can support educators, teachers, mentors, youth workers as well as youth in using innovative practices in a digital era. The APP can be used as an instrument for evaluation of digital readiness and as a teaching tool for digital skills development. She invited the guest to download and test the APP (Android / iOS).

The second part of the event, continued with a workshop, where the 40 guests guided by our Project Manager reflected on the way in which mobile APP can be integrated in youth work. In mixt groups of 6-7 persons formed by trainers, facilitators, coaches, ship captains, youth workers and volunteers, they discussed about advantages and challenges of online coaching as well as about the readiness to use mobile APP for skills development.

The highly experienced coaches, marine professionals selected with the support of the Romanian Shipmasters Association and the youth workers selected by Team4Excellence concluded on how improved digital skills and mobile APPs help us to be more close to each other. We understood what it means to be a good ‘digital citizen’ ready to use the modern digital technologies and act responsibly online.

The fruitful discussions continued during the networking buffet, allowing participants to exchange ideas and thoughts for future collaboration.
