INNOVET Project Meeting, December 2023, Romania

The fourth and final transnational project meeting of the Erasmus+ INNOVET project took place on 11-12 December 2023. The meeting took place in Constanta, Romania and was organised by the Carol I Commercial College of Constanta. It was attended by delegates from the other partner organisations:

• TEAM4Excellence Association, Romania
• Associazione Akira, Italy
• Konya İl Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğü, Turkey

The purpose of the meeting was to review the work done and to set the stage for further multiplication of the results. Thus, partners discussed the progress of the project results and presented the INNOVET Digital Education Ecosystem, which got together VET teachers and staff interested in game-based learning. The recorded webinars were highly appreciated by the collaborators, VET staff and local stakeholders representing a modern and accessible way towards further use and integration of the results in students’ curricula.

Participants in the meeting reviewed the online courses available on the Moodle platform including both best practices in gamification and theoretical information. Among other things, the Interactive User Manual for VET Learners is designed to provide VET learners with an engaging virtual tour of the platform’s features and technical instructions.

In addition, the sustainability of the INNOVET community was discussed to further benefit the education and training providers (vocational schools, continuing education and training providers, adult education centres/providers and educators) who are interested in innovating their practices through digital game-based learning and therefore in taking up and further developing the results of the project.

To conclude on the advantages of the Erasmus project and transnational cooperation, the host of the event offered to the international partners a demonstration of the practical activities which are part of the educational services provided by the students of the Carol I Commercial College of Constanta. As a symbol of friendship, hospitality and respect, the guests were welcomed with traditional bread with salt and served a meal carefully prepared by the students of the college under the careful supervision of the VET trainers.
