On 27 June 2023, Akira Association from Caserta, Italy organised a multiplier event within the the Erasmus + project – Game-based learning: innovative e-learning pedagogies for VET teachers. The main objective of the event was to increase the awareness of participants and their organizations about the potential of Gamification and Game-Based Learning in eEducation for addressing the needs of their learners in digital environments, through the presentation and discussion of the best practices of Game-Based Learning for digital environments analysed by the consortium in PR1, and the Game Based e-Learning Programs developed in the scope of PR2.

The event was attended by 23 vocational teachers and trainers. Akira’s staff presented the Erasmus+ Programme, especially the Key Action 2, and the INNOVET project. The presentation aimed to provide an in-depth understanding of the project by discussing its objectives, activities, expected results, and execution phases. They also presented the overall conceptual framework of the project, highlighting its key components and strategies, and provided an in-depth presentation of the Project Results 1 and 2, the project’s findings and outcomes in each participating country, and the impact of the project at regional, national, and European levels, highlighting its significance in contributing to VET practices.

The event included a discussion on integrating gamification into online VET to enhance engagement, motivation, and course completion rates. After that, the participants shared their ideas, experiences, methods and tools for improving VET in digital environments.

The event’s positive evaluation results indicate that participants found value in the project’s outcomes. To further capitalize on this, Akira will organize training sessions or workshops to delve deeper into specific aspects or tools developed within the project, providing participants with practical knowledge and skills that they can apply in their vET contexts.
