Romanian Schools Join the European Challenge for a Greener Future
GreenHive is a European project co-funded by the European Union, designed to encourage learners and educators—particularly in Vocational Education and Training (VET)—to co-create innovative solutions to sustainability challenges. At its core lies the belief that education is a catalyst for ecological transformation, especially when creativity, collaboration, and inclusivity are embedded into learning practices.
For the European Competition: “Sustainability – New Perspectives for a Wicked Problem”, each participating school selected a specific sustainability issue and created a short video proposing a creative, locally inspired solution.
We are proud to share that schools from Romania enthusiastically joined the competition. Students, guided by their teachers, explored environmental themes such as waste reduction, biodiversity, clean energy, and responsible consumption.
Among these, two videos were selected for plenary presentation during the symposium, receiving special appreciation from both participants and organisers for their clarity, creativity, and vision for a greener future.
The GreenHive initiative has already sparked a wave of innovation and dialogue among young people across Europe. Through this contest, Romanian students are not only learning about sustainability but also contributing to it—with real-world solutions and digital creativity.
