Generation SDG-TPM Ireland

On 15.10.2024  Team4Excellence, in collaboration with the other partners of the Generation SDG project – FUNPASOS (Spain), WeLearn (Ireland), Acta Foundation (Bulgaria), Kainotomia (Greece) and S.E.A.L Cyprus (Cyprus) – convened a productive meeting in Ireland. The purpose of the gathering was to advance sustainable development initiatives, particularly in empowering youth to take active roles in implementing the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

During the meeting, our team and the project partners shared success stories and best practices. These examples highlighted the impactful ways youth have implemented SDG-related initiatives within their local communities. From environmental action to social equity projects, young people have shown innovation and dedication to addressing global challenges.

The meeting agenda included an in-depth discussion on various work packages, starting with WP2, which gave an overview of activities surrounding the development of online modules. These modules are aimed at fostering SDG-related knowledge. Following that, WP3 focused on the participation toolkit, a resource designed to enhance youth involvement in local and global SDG efforts. After lunch, WP4 was introduced, showcasing the promotional package aimed at increasing the visibility of SDG initiatives. Finally, WP1 addressed project management and financial updates to ensure efficient project execution.

In addition to discussing past successes, the meeting focused on future initiatives, particularly the development of new e-courses. These courses are designed to integrate SDG themes into e-learning platforms, making it easier for young participants to engage with sustainable development content. The team also strategized on attracting more youth to SDG-related activities, ensuring that the next generation remains at the forefront of global change efforts.
