Generation SDG

We believe that young people are essential in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) developed by UN as they stand to lose the most if these Goals are not met. Through Generation SDG project, our mission is to empower young people in our communities to become local champions of the SDGs. By participating together in local action projects, they raise awareness and garner support for SDG-related initiatives, fostering community, collaboration, and social cohesion. Join us in creating a collective effort towards sustainable development and positive change in our communities!

Environment and fight against climate change

The objectives of the Generation SDG project are to increase SDG Awareness and Understanding among young people; to support Youth Advocacy and Engagement of young people; to promote Active Citizenship and Social Responsibility among young people and to promote Climate Action and Environmental Stewardship among young people and lastly to inspire Youth-Led Community Based Initiatives; which motivate young advocates to take leadership roles in SDG – related community-based projects.

Generation SDG also responds to the chosen horizontal priority “environment and fight against climate change” as it aligns with the European Green Deal Communication, recognizing the crucial role of education in engaging young people and the wider community in climate action. By involving young advocates in SDG-related activities, the project empowers them to champion sustainability and climate action in their communities and beyond. These young advocates can become agents of change, effectively communicating the changes needed for a successful transition to climate neutrality by 2050, a key objective of the European Green Deal.
