DIFA Multiplier Event, June 2023, Spain

On June the 13th 2023, Formative Footprint organized in Valladolid, Spain, the second Multiplier Event of the “Digital Facilitator for Adults 55+” Erasmus+ Partnership for Cooperation project. The event was held by Formative Footprint from Medina del Campo, Spain (FF) in collaboration with the adult education centre FeCEAV – Federation of Collectives of Adult Education of Valladolid) – Municipal Programme of Lifelong Learning.

The purpose of the event was to share the PR1 “Digital facilitator toolkit” with adult educators and, having their adult learners testing the PR2 “Everyday digital Web App”. For both groups it was relevant also to get to know the future of DIFA55+ project, and the benefits that it brings to adult education, in an era when the digital transition is key, among other transversal competencies. 31 participants representing adult educators, adult education organizations and adult learners attended the event.

After the organizers welcomed the participants, Formative Footprint performed a presentation of the Erasmus+ Programme, with the aim to increase the knowledge about the programme and the opportunities for adult learners through it. They also dynamized a Discussion on the relevance of Adult Education and Lifelong Learning and presented the DIFA55 project, its objectives, activities, results, consortium and target groups.

The facilitators introduced ‘Digital Facilitator Toolkit’, its methodology, best practices and the Competence Map for the educator to know what to improve in its teaching digital skills. Then, after presenting ‘Everyday Digital Skills for Adults 55+’, with the web application introduction, the participants were invited to individually assess their own digital skills. Formative Footprint invited the participants to continue following the project evolution, especially with regards to the future result – digital ecosystem to create and share attractive learning  activities for adults (PR3). A brief evaluation on the event was performed.

At the end, the facilitators invited the participants to keep on sharing ideas, impressions and suggestions on behalf of the project and/or the discussions started throughout the overall presentations.
