CIRECO Interviews, May 2023, Romania

On 25 May, TEAM4Excellence organised interviews with adult trainers as part of the THINK CirEco project. The event took place at the Maritime University of Constanta and was attended by 7 participants working with young adults as trainers and educators. The proiect partners are currently conducting research on the needs of adult educators and trainers with regard to Circular Economy, and the application the target group do of entrepreneurial skills in their lessons. Alongside the interviews, we are conducting a focus group with NEETs and low-skilled adults, for the purpose of identifying the learning needs of adult education youngest recipients. Participant responses will be centralised and analysed to develop new project outputs.

Nicoleta Acomi and Daria Barbu presented what the circular economy is and what the THINK CirEco project aims to achieve. Participants gained new knowledge and were introduced to how THINK CirEco partners will work together to provide educational materials to support them. Educators had to answer a series of questions that focused on the area of circular economy and EntreComp skills. Afterwards, they discussed circular economy practices in the fight against consumerism and pollution. 

Adult educators have shown great interest in the project and want to promote the THINK CirEco educational materials in the economics and entrepreneurship classes they teach.
