Adult Learners Improve Digital Confidence and Social Engagement

TEAM4Excellence participated in the Erasmus Group Mobility “Digital and cultural connection through the Erasmus programme” in Varna, Bulgaria, held between 3 and 9 May 2026. The activity was hosted by Varna Economic Development Agency (VEDA), an organisation with strong experience in innovation, entrepreneurship, training, and regional development.

The mobility supported adult learners, especially senior learners, in building digital confidence and using technology more safely and independently. The programme combined practical learning activities, reflection sessions, and cultural visits in Varna, connecting digital participation with active citizenship, communication, and lifelong learning. Participants were encouraged to explore how digital tools can support everyday tasks, access to information, and social interaction.

An important part of the mobility involved discovering the cultural heritage of Varna through visits to the Archaeological Museum, the National Maritime Museum, the Roman Thermae, and the Sea Garden. These activities combined learning with social interaction and active exploration, creating opportunities for participants to strengthen group connections while experiencing the history and identity of the city.

The experience helped participants feel more confident, active, and connected in the digital world, while also strengthening our work in inclusive adult education. It highlighted the importance of lifelong learning and digital inclusion for people of all ages.
