International Day for Women in Maritime

On 18th of May we gathered to celebrate International Day for Women in Maritime in an online conference hosted by Maritime University of Constanța. Through a focus group we exchanged views on “Employers’ expectations of digital skills of maritime alumnas”. The main topics were:

  • Digital skills needed in the maritime sector
  • The role of responsible social media posts and the long-term personal
  • Professional impact of posts in the online public space

We gained more knowledge about the role of women in maritime together with our partners from Women’s International Shipping & Trading Association, Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Shipping and Agriculture Constanţa, Romanian Naval Authority, CERONAV – Romanian Maritime Training Centre, Free Trade Union of Seafarers, Stargate Crewing Agency and National Sea Ports Administration Company Constanta.
