Safe & Informed Volunteering - project launch

How to promote a safe and informed volunteering process? We have the solution!

We will design an innovative APP for youth. They will be able to access valuable information regarding the places where the volunteering opportunities appear, through the shared opinions of previous volunteers.

On the 12th of December, we met in Valladolid, Spain for the first transnational project meeting. During the meeting, we reviewed the project’s working schedule, each other’s tasks and duties related to the project management activities and the dissemination strategy. Representatives of all partners took part in the event:

• Association Team4Excellence, Romania
• Federation of Youth Associations of Braga, Portugal

The main idea of the project is to design an APP with information generated by local and/or foreign volunteers on the villages/towns/cities of organizations which host ESC projects. This information will be in the form of reviews and divided in topics of interest regarding services and facilities relevant for the integration of the volunteers into the local community.

During the first stage of the project, the consortium will invite relevant organizations to describe the community in terms of cost of life, quality of life quality, leisure and free time activities (culture, sports) and some other details such as the probability of people to speak English, the average age of the residents and so on.

Based on the responses, we will design the innovative APP.
