Sharing memories - a bridge towards intergenerational learning
Intergenerational exchange of knowledge
We choose to promote the active life of those who, having reached the Third Age, can offer their knowledge to young people who, in turn, can share their knowledge with the elderly, starting from the memories and knowledge of their own city.
In an intergenerational environment and maintaining the social distance, we collected information and curiosities about the city of Trani, Italy. Seniors were happy to share their knowledge and experience with other young people.
Together we learnt the value of intergenerational exchange and the importance of sharing memories. The elderly were at the disposal of the young and the young at the disposal of the more mature and experienced generations.
The sharing of memories represented a good dialogue starting point that can help seniors to step forward from isolation in order to become actively involved in a European society.
