On-Arrival Training (OAT) ONLINE, September edition 2023

This month, the new volunteers of the TEAM4Excellence association attended the mandatory online sessions of the On-Arrival course. This course was an introduction to the way European Solidarity Corps work, with topics such as: introduction to Romanian culture, adaptation in the country, how the European Union works, what the Romanian National Agency is and what volunteers can expect from the projects in which they participate.

The training is a form to contribute to personal growth and professional knowledge of the participants. They learned about the patience of the adaptation process, the new challenges, the typical food of each region of Romania, basic geography of the country… And on the other hand, they heard how the national agency can help them, what they can do to help, what help is. Also, more bureaucratic knowledge about how to manage your health insurance.

The aim of the course is a first approach to the opportunities and challenges of volunteering. The European Union, in collaboration with associations such as Team4Excellence, offer the possibility of living a unique experience abroad or in your own country. Volunteers have the support of the host organizations that guide them. Our new colleagues on board enjoyed this training and prepared for what is coming in the next months.
