Mandela effect

On August 9th, Team4Excellence, in collaboration with the RoUa Center, organized a captivating workshop that explored the impact of the Mandela Effect on our subconscious minds. The event began with a brief presentation about the conception of the Mandela Effect and the various theories related to this intriguing phenomenon. Then, we introduced one quiz to participants to see if they had personally experienced the Mandela Effect, and many were surprised to find that they really had.

Participants engaged in interactive games like “True/False” and “Match a Mandela” to deepen their understanding of the topic. The “True/False” game challenged them to confront common misconceptions, such as whether Mickey Mouse has a tail or the famous line from “Apollo 13”. In the “Match a Mandela” game, they connected well-known Mandela Effect examples, like the misremembered line “Hello Clarice” from “The Silence of the Lambs”, to their explanations.

The workshop provided a unique opportunity to explore how our brains work and how easily our minds can be influenced by misinformation. Participants were encouraged to think critically and develop self-awareness, helping them recognize and challenge their misconceptions. The experience was not only informative but also enjoyable, illustrating just how complex and tricky memory can sometimes be.
