Between April 10–16, 2025, a group of eight senior learners (aged 60+) from Romania took part in a transformative Erasmus+ group mobility programme in Shumen, Bulgaria, organised by TEAM4Excellence Association in partnership with EvroPro Ltd.

This enriching experience was part of TEAM4Excellence’s ongoing commitment to promote lifelong learning, active ageing, and social inclusion. The training programme was tailored to enhance the participants’ digital literacy, cultural awareness, and social innovation mindset, all within a supportive and engaging non-formal educational environment.

The seniors explored practical digital skills such as navigating online platforms, using search engines, and staying safe online. They also participated in creative workshops, cultural exchanges, and team-based learning activities. A key highlight was the cultural tour of Shumen, which offered an immersive experience into Bulgarian history and traditions, fostering intercultural understanding and empathy.

Beyond the technical competencies, the programme nurtured communication, self-expression, collaboration, and personal reflection. Participants worked together to co-create learning experiences, give and receive feedback, and engage in meaningful discussions about their role in today’s digital society.

This mobility is a strong example of how lifelong learning empowers older adults to remain active, connected, and confident in a rapidly changing world. It also reinforces the value of Erasmus+ in making education accessible and relevant at every age.

Through initiatives like this, TEAM4Excellence continues to champion intergenerational learning, digital inclusion, and community engagement — proving that learning truly has no age limit.
