On the 6 June 2025, we proudly announced the launch of two major educational innovations under the INAIR Project: the AI Core Curriculum for Retail MSMEs and the AI Skills Assessment Tool. The announcement was made during the GreenTravel Through Aerialverse International Symposium, where 40+ persons, representatives from 12 VET organisations and 8 MSME stakeholders attended a dedicated session on AI for retail innovation.

These new tools aim to support micro, small, and medium-sized retailers in integrating Artificial Intelligence into their operations to enhance sustainability, optimise resources, and bridge digital skills gaps.

The AI Core Curriculum provides accessible, expert-developed training in:

• Core AI concepts and technologies,
• Use of AI in optimising inventory, logistics, and energy efficiency,
• Strategies to support green retail transformation.

This curriculum was co-created with input from educational professionals and retail practitioners across Europe to ensure practical relevance and immediate applicability.

Launched in parallel, the AI Skills Assessment Tool allows retail MSME employees and managers to evaluate their current AI-related skills and capabilities, identify training needs across their teams, receive personalised guidance for upskilling through the INAIR curriculum.

The presentation also previewed the upcoming pilot testing phase of the INAIR e-learning platform, currently under development. The platform is being designed in collaboration with cognitive ergonomics experts to ensure high engagement and inclusivity, even for users with limited digital proficiency.
