GreenHive Final Conference

On 19 November TEAM4Excellence team hosted the GreenHive Final Conference at the Constanta Maritime University, where educators, VET specialists, students and local partners gathered to explore innovative approaches to sustainability learning. Participants discovered how local sustainability hubs – known as “Green Combs” – empower schools and VET institutions to collaborate with companies, universities and community organisations in addressing real environmental challenges.

The session introduced the main results of the Green Hive Project, highlighting its methodological framework, Toolkit for Setting Up and Managing Green Combs and online MOOC platform, developed to strengthen sustainability competencies in the VET sector. Attendees engaged with live demonstrations of the digital community platform, explored examples, and viewed the video prepared by the Green Comb of the award-winning Lazar Edeleanu VET Highschool.

In the final part, learners received certificates for their participation in the sustainability competition. The atmosphere encouraged collaboration and inspired participants to continue developing green initiatives within their communities. The showcase underlined that meaningful sustainability education begins locally and grows through shared action and innovation.
