On 10 July 2025, TEAM4Excellence welcomed a new participant, Ritika, to Constanța, Romania, as part of the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs (EYE) programme. The introductory meeting focused on project goals, mutual expectations, and planning the steps ahead for her entrepreneurial journey. Here, Ritika shares her first reflections:

“Two weeks ago, I arrived in Constanța, Romania, for the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs program — and honestly, I didn’t know exactly what to expect. New country, new people, new rhythm. But I knew one thing for sure: this was going to be a big step for me, both personally and professionally.

Constanța greeted me with a mix of warm sun, sea breeze, and a surprisingly calm energy for a coastal city. It’s beautiful in a quiet, underrated kind of way. The old streets, the lively beach spots, the local bakeries… it’s been a lovely way to start this chapter.

One of the most memorable parts of my experience so far? Meeting my host, Dr Nicoleta Acomi — just a day after I arrived.

Even though I had barely unpacked, we jumped straight into things. I was a little nervous (naturally), but that quickly disappeared once we started talking. From the very beginning, the conversation felt genuine. It wasn’t a stiff, formal introduction — it was an open exchange between two entrepreneurs who share a passion for building and learning.

We spoke about our goals, our journeys so far, and the kind of collaboration we want to create. My host was welcoming, curious, and insightful — and already began involving me in meaningful discussions. I left that meeting feeling excited, supported, and ready to learn.

Over the past two weeks, I’ve slowly started settling into the rhythm here. Every day brings something new — whether it’s exploring a business process, learning about the Romanian market, or simply taking in the local culture. I’m excited about the chance to contribute, observe, and grow — both as an entrepreneur and as a person.

So far, Constanța has been full of good energy, new perspectives, and quiet confidence that I’m in the right place.
