On December 18th, 2024, TEAM4Excellence had the honour of participating in the national online conference “Harassment and Discrimination in the Workplace in 2024”, organised by APETES. The event gathered over 250 participants, including legal professionals, educators, researchers, and private sector representatives, to discuss critical topics related to workplace inclusion, safety, and anti-harassment measures.

During the conference, TEAM4Excellence representatives contributed to the discussion by addressing the topic of Ethical Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in professional environments. Our intervention highlighted the importance of responsible and inclusive approaches to AI adoption, especially as digital transformation continues to reshape how we work.

We also took this opportunity to promote the Ethics module from our AI Core Curriculum, developed within the European project INAIR – Increasing the Uptake of AI in Retail. This 16-module curriculum includes a dedicated learning unit on ethical considerations, focusing on key topics such as assessing the trustworthiness of AI systems, understanding their societal and environmental impacts, and promoting responsible digital innovation.

Our contribution brought forward a timely question: How can we integrate AI in the workplace in a way that supports equality, transparency, and psychological safety for all employees?
