Inclusion and Solidarity

On 11 April 2025, the Maritime University of Constanța hosted the 7th edition of the competition “Captain on the Ship of the Future”, an inspiring event that brought together students and teachers from six VET institutions across Constanța County. Beyond the technical and educational aspects, the event stood out for its inclusive and collaborative atmosphere — thanks in part to the dedicated contribution of ESC (European Solidarity Corps) volunteers from TEAM4Excellence Association.

The volunteers played a key role in planning, organising, and disseminating the event. Their active involvement ensured a welcoming environment for all participants, regardless of background, and fostered a spirit of inclusion and European solidarity. From logistical support to engaging with students and promoting the event on social media, the ESC volunteers demonstrated the values of teamwork, cultural diversity, and youth empowerment.

Their presence also served as a living example of how volunteering can connect communities, promote active citizenship, and support lifelong learning. The impact of their efforts extended beyond the event itself, encouraging young people to get involved in local and international initiatives that make a difference.
