Meetings with our ESC volunteers, August 2023, Online

We recently welcomed 6 new ESC volunteers from the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine to our organization. In August we had online weekly meetings with them in order to reflect on their volunteering experience in Romania, their expectations and the activities they will do. The meetings took place on 7, 11, 14 and 31 August. After each meeting we record our progress, get to know each other better and answer their questions.

First, they got acquainted with our website and the Erasmus+ projects we do. They have completed the digital citizenship skills training and received their certificates by following the Digital Citizenship course on our platform. The workshops they will do in schools touch on the themes of the course and they have been tasked with telling us which digital citizenship topics they want to focus on during their volunteering by completing an ESC experience plan. We also wanted to hear their views on how we could promote the course better. Over the next week they piloted the SIV app which targets best practices and information about a safe and informed ESC volunteering experience.

They are guided to use the ESC solidarity kit and prepare their activity plan to improve the skills and competences of young people in the community of Constanta. They will design future workshop activities, events or educational materials.
