CiMe Study visit at Focus Press, March 2023, Romania

On 31 March, as part of a Citizen Media training activity with delegates from Romania, Spain, Hungary and Germany, we organized a study visit at Focus Press, a local TV station from Constanta, Romania. The visit was made possible thanks to the marketing team of the Maritime University of Constanta and gave the young participants enrolled in CiMe Blended mobility of young people a broader perspective on how members of a newsroom work on the news and shows they produce. The young participants did not hesitate to ask questions and got in touch with professionals in the field of journalism.

To show young people how to record an interview, reporter Loredana Mihai from Focus Press interviewed Nicoleta Acomi from TEAM4Excellence about the Erasmus+ programme actions and ongoing projects. In this way, participants saw how a show is produced, what a set looks like and how an interview goes. They were also curious about the Focus Press newspaper and asked several questions about news writing and the profile of the editorial staff.
