Breaking Stereotypes

On July 5th, Team4Excellence together with RoUa Center held an engaging activity, which was focused on understanding and challenging stereotypes. The participants were children aged from 11 to 16.  They were very enthusiastic to participate in all the discussions, games and were eager to learn more new information.

The event began with a presentation about the nature of stereotypes, followed by an interactive card game that explored different kinds of stereotypes. This helped participants to categorize these stereotypes into various groups and understand their definitions.

The aim of the activity is to empower young individuals to actively challenge stereotypes. By categorizing stereotypes, engaging in meaningful discussions, and reflecting on their impacts, participants develop critical thinking skills and empathy.

Overall, the workshop provided young people the opportunity to confront their biases and work towards creating a more inclusive community. By the end, everyone had developed a deeper understanding of diversity and the importance of looking beyond first impressions.
