Blue Generation Study visit, January 2024, Romania

Between 22th – 26th of January 2024, Team4Excellence organized the Study visit for Blue Generation project in Constanta.

During the visit 12 young people were informed about careers in the Blue Economy. They attended a presentation given by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cristina Dragomir, and received the Blue Generation Career Guide in magazine format. They also visited the shipping company Silk Route and learned about the transfer of goods around the world. In the following days young people were introduced to various simulators of Constanta Maritime University and visited a dry bulk terminal in Port of Constanta.

Participants were introduced to blue economy through a presentation about each blue sector and explored more about training and work opportunities in various sectors of the field.

The event also introduced the Blue Generation Career Platform, which provides a valuable resource for participants to explore job opportunities, understand sector-specific requirements, and apply for positions across Europe. The facilitator guided participants through the platform, addressing inquiries about the project and offering insights into pursuing careers in blue economy. Also participants were engaged in an interactive game which introduced them closely with job descriptions from various sectors of Blue Economy.
