The International Day of Seafarer, June 2023, Romania

On the 25th of June, we celebrate the International Day of Seafarer at Constanta Maritime University. As part of the Blue Generation Project, we celebrated this day of seafarer together with 300+ highschool learners and students in the Aula of CMU. The pupils and students learned from graduates, captains and chief mechanics as well as employers about directions, first steps and career guidance programmes to start a blue career.

During this national event that brought together young people, marine processionals and employers, Nicoleta Acomi, talked about the importance of continuous professional development and presented the Blue Generation Project which serves as a tool for learning and job searching. Pupils and students were interested to try out the project results and learn more about the jobs and training opportunities available in the field.
