BeBlue Transnational Meeting 4, Romania, September 2022

On the 2nd of September, TEAM4Excellence organised the fourth Transnational Project Meeting of the Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership: Career Guidance in Blue Economy​ in Constanta, Romania. The meeting was attended by representatives from all partner organisations:

At the beginning, partners set the final dates for the Blue Career Path Platform piloting, a tool through which we centralized information about 100 blue careers. This Career Map will be tested and reviewed by 15 VET organizations. After that, partners established quality criteria both for the Online Training Course in Blue Economy and the Blue Career eMentoring Programme. The training courses are uploaded on the platform in all languages (English, Romanian, Spanish and Turkish) and contains valuable information about the following 8 sectors of the Blue Economy:

  •  Fisheries, aquaculture and processing
  • Coastal and maritime tourism
  • Coastal tourism
  • Maritime transport, ports and shipbuilding
  • Marine extraction of oil, gas and minerals
  • Offshore wind and ocean energy

The meeting continued with a discussion on the Blue Economy eMentoring Programme which aims to connect a mentor (who may be a professional in one of the sectors above) with a mentee – a student or a citizen interested in the Blue Economy who wants personal guidance and expert career advice. At the end, the delegates planned the next steps of the project dissemination strategy and set deadlines for the multiplier events.
