Blue Career Day

On Friday, November 6, 2020, the Maritime University of Constanța organized online the fourth edition of Blue Career Day, dedicated to highschool and university students from Constanța. The event brought together over 200 participants online and it is an annual debate that aims to raise awareness of employment opportunities in the blue economy and related sectors: maritime transport, cruise tourism, marine aquaculture and the offshore oil and gas industry.

Thus, the representatives of the crewing companies, the port operators, the authorities in the field, the professional associations (Association of Ship Masters and the Association of Women working in the Field of Navigation and Transport), but also students and graduates made possible the concrete interaction between potential employers and future employees. Pupils and students had the opportunity to talk to guests who made recommendations on choosing the profession and approaching the dialogue with employers. The key topic was the skills specific to future maritime occupations in the context of advanced technologies.

In this respect, T4E representatives joined the event and promoted career opportunities in the blue economy sectors, as an action part of the Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership “Be Blue”. 

In a very attractive way and appreciated by the students, the event was ended with a Kahoot blitz contest, in which participants received prizes from Blue Career Center, Romanian Intermodal Association and Team 4 Excellence.
