AI4YouW - Young citizens and AI conference, April 2024, Romania

From April 22nd to April 25th, our team form TEAM4Excellence joined the MILSET Young Citizens Conferences (YCC) an event organized by Liceului Teoretic “Ovidius” in colaboration with the Maritime University of Constanța. This event is dedicated to promoting innovation and facilitating knowledge exchange among young individuals. Hosted at the Liceului Teoretic “Ovidius” in Constanța, the conference provided an interactive space for engaging discussions and insightful presentations.

The primary goal of the conference was to enlighten high school students about the transformative potential of artificial intelligence (AI) across diverse sectors. Through interactive workshops and informative sessions, attendees gained valuable insights into the applications of AI in robotics, medicine, neuroaesthetics, maritime technologies, and research endeavors.

During the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Nicoleta Acomi, representing TEAM4Excellence and Maritime University of Constanta, captivated the audience with her profound insights into the AI4YouW project. In response to the EU’s emphasis on digital transformation, AI4YouW focuses on equipping youth workers with the skills needed to navigate the evolving landscape of AI technologies.  The project aims to identify and reduce competence gaps among youth work professionals through tailored educational resources. Through direct training actions and awareness-raising initiatives, the project aims to enhance the digital skills of youth workers and empower them to become confident users of AI-driven technologies.
