Intergenerational Seminar, July 2023, Romania

Based on the objective of social inclusion and supporting learning opportunities for seniors, on 7 July 2023 TEAM4Excellence organised a seminar for adults in the framework of the Erasmus+ programme. We had 3 participants from different age groups and was held at the TEAM4Excellence office. The aim of the seminar was to teach the participants more skills and tools in the area of videomaking.

Under the guidance of trainer Daria Barbu, the group was introduced to the use of Google Drive and Canva, a suite of tools useful for editing photos and videos.
After the presentation of tools and techniques, the group expressed interest in a practical activity of how to transfer material stored on phones to the computer, and tried out procedures for taking photos as accurately as possible with personal phones. They also learned about storytelling and photography to help them develop a video. Using the participants’ materials, they developed a short video on a theme of their choice.

Both children and adults have expressed enthusiasm for learning new digital programs that help them personally and professionally. At the end of the course, they were interested in continuing the series of meetings on videomaking and creative skills with the use of technology.
