Intergenerational seminar with seniors, July 2023, Romania

Continuing the seminars dedicated to seniors and intergenerational learning, on 11 July 2023, TEAM4Excellence Association organized in Constanta, Romania, a new meeting which was part of the Erasmus+ programme dedicated to adult education. The aim of this seminar is to help seniors adapt to the continuous and rapid technological change, which creates new benchmarks in the modern world, in order to lead a proactive social life. Thus, they learnt good practices to develop the skills needed to enhance themselves and their community.

Related to these issues, participants appreciated the value of digital tools, which were described to them in detail, to efficiently store information, process and easily present materials for public display or to specific groups, using Canva and Google Drive. At the same time, their interest in the aspects of transferring data between digital devices, storing and organising personal photo-video material in efficient formats, avoiding the risk of losing files, was satisfied. Thus, how to use adjacent storage and transfer devices such as memory sticks or hard drives, how to organise material in folders classified according to certain criteria, and how to use the Google Drive application gave participants the necessary guidance to apply this information permanently in various areas.
